Knoxville Chapter’s Board of Directors invites you to join us in your favorite light side or dark side attire for a ceremony honoring Marketing Jedi Master Tom Catani on May the Fourth, 2022!
During this special event, the Chapter recognizes an Outstanding Marketing Professional in our community. The Outstanding Marketing Professional is a lifetime achievement award presented to an individual who has made meaningful and innovative contributions to our community and in the field of marketing. Past recipients include Jim Clayton, James A. Haslam, II, Townes Lavidge Osborn and Pat Summitt, to name a few.
In addition to honoring an outstanding professional and AMA Knoxville’s chapter leaders, the annual Honors event raises funds to provide scholarships for exceptional students majoring in marketing at the University of Tennessee. This program, the Eagle Endowment, has provided over $100,000 in scholarship money in an effort to preserve and grow the marketing industry.
About the Honoree
The Knoxville Chapter’s 32nd Annual Honors Gala is a ceremony honoring Marketing Jedi Master Tom Catani, US Cellular’s Head of Broadband Opportunities & Policy, as our 2022 Outstanding Marketing Professional. This honor is presented to a marketing practitioner whose career has promoted ethical and professional practices. A scholarship is presented in their honor.
Catani has been with US Cellular since 1997 where he has risen through the ranks, starting in customer care and moving quickly to become Senior Director of Sales and Marketing then Regional, Channel, and Area Vice President, and recently moving into his current position. During his time with the company Catani has engaged in innovative leadership within the wireless industry and has served multiple teams ranging from 100 to 2500 associates in retail sales, business sales, e-commerce, customer care, engineering and indirect-dealer channel management.
At this event, we’ll also be awarding scholarships to outstanding students at the University of Tennessee and recognizing our chapter’s volunteer leaders who work hard to make events like these happen.
